Effective Date: September 19, 2026
Nabavi & Company Inc. ("Nabavi," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to responsibly handling personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information in connection with Nabavi.ca (the "Site"), business inquiries, professional communications and related business activities.
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We do not sell your personal information.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.
This Privacy Policy applies primarily to visitors to the Site; individuals who contact us about our services; prospective clients; subscribers to our communications; and other business and professional contacts.
If you become a client, personal information and confidential business information handled in connection with an engagement may also be governed by the applicable consulting agreement, professional services agreement, statement of work, confidentiality agreement or other written agreement.
Where a separate written agreement establishes specific privacy, confidentiality or information-handling obligations for an engagement, those provisions govern that engagement to the extent of any inconsistency with this Policy.
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
Information you provide: when you contact us, submit an inquiry, request a meeting or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, title or professional role, email address, telephone number, company or organization, basic information about your company, the subject or reason for your inquiry, information included in your message, correspondence with us, and other information you choose to provide. If you subscribe to newsletters or insights, we collect what's needed to manage that subscription.
Professional and business contacts: we may also collect professional contact information from introductions and referrals, LinkedIn and other professional networks, conferences and business events, boards and advisory relationships, professional associations, business meetings, and other legitimate business-development activities.
Information collected automatically: when you visit the Site, basic technical information may be generated as part of operating and securing it — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, date and time of access, and similar technical information. We seek to collect the minimum amount of personal information reasonably necessary for the purposes identified in this Policy.
We may use personal information to respond to inquiries; understand the nature of an inquiry and the business involved; evaluate whether a potential consulting or advisory engagement may be a fit; communicate with prospective clients and professional contacts; schedule meetings; provide information about our services; manage professional and business relationships; maintain appropriate records of referrals and introductions; send newsletters or insights where permitted by law; operate, secure and improve the Site; maintain appropriate business records; prevent or investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents; establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and comply with legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without obtaining additional consent where required by law.
Where consent is required, we obtain consent appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information and the circumstances. Consent may be express or implied where permitted by law.
For example, if you provide your contact information and submit an inquiry, we may use that information to respond to you and communicate with you about your inquiry and a potential engagement.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to respond to a request, continue certain communications or provide particular services.
The Site is intended, among other things, to allow business owners, executives, prospective clients and other professional contacts to connect with Nabavi & Company Inc.
Please use reasonable discretion when submitting information through the Site or an unsolicited communication. Do not send highly sensitive, legally privileged, proprietary or confidential business information unless appropriate arrangements have first been made.
Submitting an inquiry, requesting a conversation or communicating with Nabavi & Company Inc. or Mike Nabavi does not, by itself, create a consulting, fiduciary, confidentiality or other professional relationship. If confidential information needs to be shared before a formal engagement begins, please contact us first so that appropriate confidentiality arrangements, including an NDA where appropriate, can be considered.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate the Site and our business; where reasonably necessary to respond to your request or provide requested services; with your consent; where required or permitted by law; in response to lawful requests from courts, regulators or government authorities; where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, systems or security or those of another person; or in connection with a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate legal and confidentiality protections.
We seek to limit disclosure to the information reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
We use, or may use, third-party service providers to support the Site and our business activities — for functions such as website hosting and maintenance, email and productivity services, contact forms and inquiry management, newsletters, meeting and scheduling services, customer relationship management, cloud storage, website analytics, cybersecurity, and accounting or administrative services.
These providers may process personal information on our behalf. Where appropriate, we use contractual or other measures intended to require service providers to safeguard personal information and use it only for authorized purposes.
Some of the technology and service providers we use may store or process personal information outside British Columbia or Canada, including in the United States and other jurisdictions.
When personal information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities or government agencies in accordance with those laws.
Nabavi & Company Inc. remains responsible for personal information under its control as required by applicable law and takes reasonable measures to protect information handled on its behalf by service providers. You may contact our Privacy Officer if you would like additional information about our use of service providers outside Canada.
We may use website analytics, cookies or similar technologies to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve its effectiveness — to measure traffic and usage, understand which content is useful, assess navigation, improve performance and user experience, and support security and operation of the Site.
If we use non-essential cookies, analytics technologies or other tracking technologies that require consent under applicable law, we will provide appropriate information and obtain consent as required. You may also be able to manage certain cookies through your browser or device settings.
If you choose to subscribe to newsletters, articles, insights, announcements or other communications from Nabavi & Company Inc., we may use your contact information for that purpose, and will send commercial electronic communications in accordance with applicable Canadian law.
You may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not prevent us from sending communications reasonably necessary to respond to an inquiry, administer an existing relationship, provide requested services, or fulfill legal or contractual obligations.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate business, relationship-management, record-keeping, legal, regulatory or other permitted purposes.
The appropriate retention period depends on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, the nature and duration of our relationship with you, legitimate business and record-keeping requirements, and applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
When personal information is no longer required, we will delete, destroy or anonymize it as required by applicable law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the personal information in our custody or control, including access controls, password and account protections, secure technology environments, safeguards provided by our service providers, appropriate information-handling practices, and secure deletion or destruction practices.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a privacy or security breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable law, and where required will notify affected individuals and applicable privacy authorities.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you; provide access to it; provide information about how it has been used or disclosed; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; or withdraw consent where our use depends on your consent.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. Certain information may be withheld where permitted or required by law, including information that would reveal another person's personal information, confidential commercial information or legally privileged information.
To exercise your privacy rights, contact our Privacy Officer using the information below.
